another beautiful day in paradise

managed to get out for a ride again today. first time this week due to work commitments. the weather is beautiful - see last blog for a sense of the day. I managed to ride 41kms in two rides (35 and 6) stopping at Brew Ha for lunch in between. there were a few people out but essentially i had the paths to myself.

I have now clocked up 3145km this year - way off my target but there are some reasons.

Rode to Burswood, then along river to south perth, up Douglas Ave to Curtin Uni and then along to Manning Road, back along Manning Road to Canning Bridge and then jumped back on the bike path and headed into the city along the FWY bike path. then i went to UWA and up into Subiaco to Brew Ha. Coming home from Brew Ha i head along the railway bike path back to leederville and then home up Oxford St.

The 35km took me 1:23 (26km/h average) which wasnt too bad really. My heart rate average was up (160bpm average) but i felt reasonably comfortable. However, there was no upside without getting right into my RED Zone.

Unfortunately, there are no photos but just use your imagination. the sky was clear, the temperature was ~18c, the river sparkling silver, the breeze was light and a little from the E/NE so i really wasnt riding into it too much.
